Everyone knows everyone else in town, so there is a tight knit gathering of locals who are more than helpful. The journey’s explored by way of kayaking; hiking and horseback are just unheard of. Our informative tour guide Alejandro from Costa Nativa Eco-Tours kayaked along with us through low hanging trees, complete with exotic birds flapping by cluing, us in to all the wonders around us. The horseback ride along the ocean was unmatched compared to America’s riding experiences which felt so claustrophobic and isolated. Venturing through the terrain for a great hike through a single lake at three different points was the most fulfilling as reached the breathtaking waterfall at the end. As glorious as the waterfall was it was, my personal high-point was not that far from the villa. Boogie boarding just right out the front gate of the villa was one of the most thrilling joys. A small board with large powerful waves drifting us back to shore, just a fun time. The entire experience was purely heavenly at this picturesque lodging that is not that far from where they filmed the ending to Stephen King’s Shawshank Redemption. The coast of the shore in that film looked to be the best place to visit, and it is. Witnessing these sites with your own eyes takes your breath away and just leaves your mouth agape. The villa itself has an open air quality that envelopes you in with the nature. The best part of this location is that nature; you truly get the sense of vacation to fully relax by literally witnessing the beauty of the natural world. Laying back on the deck of the pool and looking up to see the stars shimmer bright until they reach the ocean.
