As perfect as it is, guests tell us, Villa Milagro has this little problem, and once you come here, you’ll discover it for yourself.

The problem is you start thinking of it as your place, yours alone. It’s your private getaway on Mexico’s Pacific coast, your own little paradise, and naturally you want to come back.

With just six private suites and so many attractions, we can understand why guests may not want us spreading the word. But the good news is, new guests are always welcome.

With only six suites available, however, it’s always a good idea to make your plans early to secure your reservations.

The Villa Is Only Part of the Attraction

One reason visitors love the Villa is its proximity to nearby villages and activities.

Imagine wandering through local markets and meeting local artisans. Or checking out a restaurant someone recommended or tasting a local delicacy from a street vendor.

Or you might spend time soaking up rays on the beach, go surfing, sailing or kayaking, or simply head out for the morning and see what you discover.

Fall gives you even more reasons to explore.

September brings Mexican Independence Day, when flags, music and celebrations fill the streets with national pride. Later comes Día de los Muertos, with marigolds, candlelit altars and traditions passed from one generation to the next. These aren’t attractions created for visitors. They’re part of the culture and everyday life of Mexico.

After a day of exploring, there’s something very nice about coming back to a place that already feels familiar. Take a swim. Find a comfortable spot and compare notes on what everyone did that day. Watch the late afternoon light settle over the Pacific.

You’ve spent the day discovering Mexico, but you still have your own private place waiting when you return.

Then There’s Dinner

Going out to dinner is one of the pleasures of any vacation, and there are plenty of opportunities to do that here. But when several people travel together, deciding where to eat can sometimes become a daily exercise in diplomacy. Someone wants seafood. Someone else doesn’t. Somebody heard about a restaurant twenty minutes away. Somebody forgot to make reservations. By the time everyone agrees, dinner has become a project.

At Villa Milagro, there’s another option. Your private chef can prepare dinner using fresh local ingredients while everyone continues enjoying the afternoon. When dinner is ready, you gather around the table. There’s no drive, no waiting for a table and no reason to watch the clock. Dinner has a way of stretching into conversation, stories and laughter, especially when nobody is waiting to seat the next party.

Privacy Has Its Advantages

With just six suites, families and friends can share a vacation without feeling they have to share every minute of it.

You might all have breakfast together, then go in half a dozen different directions. This one heads for the beach. That one finds a hammock. A couple decides to explore one of the villages. Someone else lounges beside the infinity pool.

Later, everyone finds everyone else again. Now there are stories to exchange, discoveries to compare and plans to make for the next day. You have choices, and that means you can tailor your experiences to your own tastes.

Another reason is you’re not sharing the Villa with hundreds of other vacationers. The terraces, gardens and pool become places for your group to gather naturally throughout the day.

Pretty Soon, You Get Used to It

Pretty soon, you get used to morning coffee overlooking the Pacific. You get used to deciding over breakfast whether today calls for exploring a village, riding horseback on the beach, taking a yoga class or doing nothing more ambitious than claiming a spot beside the infinity pool.

Perhaps now you understand why some of our guests would just as soon keep Villa Milagro to themselves. With only six private suites, the fewer people who know about it, the better their chances of getting the dates they want next time.
